The 4 home seas, the Grand Line, and what each crossing changes.
Four seas border the Grand Line, and a life always begins in one of them. The choice of home sea shapes the early years, not what follows.
- East Blue
- The most peaceful and the weakest of the four seas. Those who come from it are underestimated, often wrongly.
- North Blue
- A harsh, cold sea, home to feared pirates and unscrupulous scholars.
- West Blue
- Vast and full of contrasts, rich in ancient cultures, powerful families and old grudges.
- South Blue
- A warm sea of adventurers and strange lands, as generous as it is unpredictable.
The Grand Line, and what comes after
A life that lasts leaves its home sea for the Grand Line, then for the New World. Each crossing raises the difficulty of trials and opens scenes the home sea never offered. A whole life can also stay in its own sea: it makes a shorter story, and it ends all the same.
